My oldest and I have a habit of responding to the word “they” with “who?” It’s easy to complain about a vague “they” but when we take the time to dig deeper, we see there are people beneath the complaints and often ways that we can contribute. 

2 Timothy 4:2-3 says, “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” As a follower of Jesus, I take this to heart and examine what I hear against what I know to be true of God from Scripture. This clip seems to be advocating for a kingdom which I don’t see in scripture. Here are a couple of examples:
