2 Timothy 4:2-3 says, “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” As a follower of Jesus, I take this to heart and examine what I hear against what I know to be true of God from Scripture. This clip seems to be advocating for a kingdom which I don’t see in scripture. Here are a couple of examples:
Trump truly does seem to see things through the lens of winning or losing. If one wins, they succeed. With his nicknames demeaning others during the election and his constant attacks on other people, it seems obvious that he believes that in order to stay on top, he needs to step on others. And it's worked - it's working. We as a society have turned so much of life into a zero sum game where one person's win means another's loss.
